Atlanta City Councilman Howard Shook says he can't support a controversial rezoning that would pave the way for a massive Walmart near Lindbergh. The City Council is expected to vote today on the proposal.

Very interesting: The state's looking to sell the old Atlanta Farmer's Market site in southwest Atlanta's Murphy Triangle along the Atlanta Beltline. The very cool 15.4-acre tract includes 11 old buildings, including a shed. Says Saporta Report's David Pendered: "The deal promises to showcase the real estate market’s attitude toward redeveloping in a gritty BeltLine neighborhood in this soft real estate climate."

California became the first state to ban the use of controversial "gay conversion therapies" on minors. The "treatment" has driven some young people to depression and suicide, California Gov. Jerry Brown said in a statement. Georgia will follow suit in... never.
