>> President Bush's 2004 campaign manager and former RNC chairman Ken Mehlman has come out as gay to The Atlantic magazine. I know gay men in their 40s all have baggage, but this queen takes the cake. (the Atlantic)

>> Last night, a drunk New York man peed on prayer rugs in a Queens mosque while yelling anti-Muslim slurs. On Monday night, 21-year-old Michael Enright asked his cab driver Ahmed H. Sharif if he was Muslim, Sharif answered yes, and Enright slashed his throat, arm and lip. Sharif survived. People can claim the debate over the Ground Zero mosque is civil, but obviously the hate-mongering is having dangerous effects. (NY Post)

>> It's been revealed that Mohammed Zia Salehi, the National Security Council aide to Afghan president Hamid Karzai, has been on the CIA payroll for years. The US warned of the country's Afghan corruption, not it's own American corruption. (the New York Times)

>> After 42 people in Santa Clara County in California tested positive for salmonella, eggs from Cardenas Market and Trafficanda Egg Ranch have been recalled. This is seriously screwing up my weekend brunch plans. (CNN)

>> And finally: Nadja Benaissa, a singer in the German pop group No Angels, was given a two-year suspended sentence for failing to tell her sexual partners that she is HIV-positive. One of her partners is now infected with HIV. Lady Gaga would never do that. (CNN)
