Ed Loves Bacon - Comedian Willie Brown cleans up comedy in upcoming special

Local comedian plans two shows at his McDonough studio for upcoming “Willie Brown & Friends Gospel Comedy Live” television special.

Comedian/ventriloquist Willie Brown known in the comedy circuit for his clean, Christian comedy is about to take his show to television. Willie Brown & Friends Gospel Comedy Live will tape the first episode on September 6 and October 11, for an upcoming television special. The show features Brown and his puppet counterparts; W?oody, Uncle Rufus, and Aunt Tee, and other Christian comedians.
?
?The two performances will take place at The Clean Comedy Clinic Studios in McDonough, Ga, a studio he and his wife Sherry founded. “I really felt the need to offer Christian comedians and performers a national platform where their gifts and talents can be seen and celebrated”, says Brown.
?
?Brown is one of the most sought out clean comedians in the country. He has appeared on BET’s Comicview, HBO, Showtime Network’s Barbershop series and The Rickey Smiley Show. The Clean Comedy Clinic is home to more than 40 Christian comedians (called doctors on the website) who perform at “Clinic” and around the world. He currently tours with David and Tamela Mann from Tyler Perry’s Meet The Browns
?
?According to Brown, The Clean Comedy Clinic and his upcoming special provide an alternative to quality entertainment on television.
?
?”There is such a great need for this brand of entertainment in our society today”, Says Brown. “People go to church to get filled up with the word, but after they get home there are few TV shows that will keep you uplifted. This show represents an entertainment alternative for families to enjoy clean and funny entertainment”.
?
?Clips of Brown and other comic “doctors” can be found on the Clean Comedy Clinic’s website. No air dates for the Gospel Comedy Live show were provided.
