Omnivore - The Glenwood closes
Rumor blames the cost of liquor license
Here’s some hideous news. The Glenwood in East Atlanta Village has closed. Word on the street is that the gastropub could not afford to renew its liquor license.
This occurs just after Ryan Stewart returned to the kitchen there, bringing back his impeccably playful talent. He and the pub’s excellent staff are on the streets.
Restaurants are dropping like flies in our city. The expense and difficulty of the liquor license procedure sure doesn’t help. As everyone knows, a restaurant’s profits frequently derive mainly from alcohol sales.
