Shaun Doty discusses his forthcoming Ansley Mall restaurant, Bantam & Biddy, over on Nation's Restaurant News. The rotisserie chicken restaurant will feature free-range chicken on a meat-and-three style menu, with both traditional and seasonal sides. So, think Boston Market for locavores. Pricing will be $8-$10 at lunch and $12-$15 at dinner. They will open for breakfast, too (serving pastured eggs, of course).

A new piano bar called Tailfeathers is coming to Buckhead this fall. The menu reads like a suburban steakhouse (crab fritters, cedar plank salmon, and the like), and will change seasonally. They are keeping things trim, with all entrees clocking in at 475 calories or less.

The Pinewood Tippling Room, opening soon in Decatur, has been teasing Facebook fans with pictures of their menu items. So far, we've seen a fried bologna sandwich, pork kabobs, funnel cakes, and a few signature cocktails. Chef Julia Leroy is consulting on the menu, which seems to lean toward quirky and nostalgic dishes.

Over on Eater, we hear the cute story of how Jake's Ice Cream developed their newest flavor. "Rachel, Will You Marry Me" was created using all of one lucky lady's favorite ingredients, so that her boyfriend could pop the question at Jake's. Rachel must have some good taste - her signature flavor includes pretzels, chocolate chips and peanut butter swirl over a salted caramel base. You can try it out at Jake's inside Irwin Street Market.

A new bar and grill called The Ranch opened a few weeks ago in College Park. Get excited, because they have a mechanical bull! They also have eight different VIP areas, girls in cowboy hats and chaps, lots of TV's, and a full menu with steaks, wings, sandwiches, and other casual eats.
