Compassion Over Killing (COK), a nonprofit animal advocacy organization, has already made headway in convincing companies like Morningstar Farms, BOCA Foods, and Quorn to reduce or eliminate eggs in their products in order to produce more vegan-friendly options. Now, they’ve convince Subway to introduce a line of vegan subs.

Late last year, Subway stores in Canada introduced the “Totally Vegged” vegetable patty. The meat, egg, and dairy-free patty was introduced as an alternative to the Veggie Delight sub.

Now, Subway Cafes in Maryland, DC, and Virginia will be featuring three new all-vegan subs, including: Sweet Riblet, Malibu Greek, and Italian Black Bean.

While the option isn’t available in Georgia yet, COK encourages advocates to join their campaign to have the vegan options debut nationwide.
