Atlanta Wine School Thu., Sept. 20, 7 p.m. Pairing Wine & Food Class. Join Atlanta Wine School instructor Debbie Ruskin for a food and wine pairing course. Class will include eight chef’s courses paired with eight hand-selected wines. Guests will also learn easy and delicious recipes, cooking techniques, and entertaining ideas. Details.

Ritz-Carlton Atlanta Thu., Sept. 20, 6 p.m. Low Country Deconstructed Explore regional southern cooking with Brian Jones, chef de cuisine of Atlanta Grill, as he presents a series of demonstration-style culinary classes this fall at The Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta. Guests will taste small plates from a three-course menu paired with traditional cocktails and selections from regional wineries and breweries. Hotel Sommelier Brian White hosts special guest Brian “Spike” Buckowski, brewmaster and co-founder of Athens, GA-based Terrapin Beer Company, who will bring six craft beers to sample with Chef Jones’ menu.
