Omnivore - PHOTOS: A sneak peek into Giovanni Di Palma's new market
Luisa's will open on the Westside very soon
Giovanni Di Palma is putting the finishing touches on his soon-to-open market, Luisa's, in the house across the street from Antico Pizza Napoletana and Gio's Chicken Amalfitano. As I wrote in my piece last year, the market will open by early February. Di Palma let me in to take a few photos of the space that is still under construction, but coming along nicely. This is one of the retail areas where he'll stock everything from containers of his awesome chicken soup to Antico's pizza dough to prepared foods by the pound to his mother's salad dressing. There will even be apparel.

Di Palma plans to use the market space for after hours private parties where you eat and drink as much you can fit in your gullet from all of his restaurants. An added perk? Di Palma will personally cook an off-the-menu dish while you are your guests spend the night at this swank table.
He's still working on a price for the experience.
Next on the roster: the outdoor grill and cabana bar with outdoor seating. He plans to open those in Mid-March when the weather is warmer. Until then, diners can enter their name to win this limited edition 2014 Fiat pimped out by Gucci.
All you have to do is sign up for the newsletter on Luisa's website, which will be up soon.
