The Fox Theatre is screening Gone With The Wind on Sunday, July 27 at 2 p.m. Before heading to the matinee viewing, get in the mindset of the southern classic right across the street at Livingston, which will host a brunch from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. The brunch is inspired by the pre-premiere party in 1939, where director and stars filled a ballroom in the very same Georgian Terrace. On Sunday, guests will feast on a southern buffet. For a preview, think about Southern favorites such as shrimp and grits, fried chicken, and brioche French toast from chef Michael Semancik. Costumes and artifacts will be on display during brunch, thanks to Marietta’s Gone with the Wind: Scarlett on the Square Museum. A raffle will be held with prizes including passes to the Oakland Cemetery Gone with the Wind tour, a package from the Margaret Mitchell House, and a Georgian Terrace package: one night stay in a one bedroom suite and a $100 gift certificate to Livingston Restaurant. Tickets to see the matinee range from $10-$20 and can be purchased here.
