Omnivore - Gu's Dumplings makes its Krog Street Market debut
The Sichuan food stall opens 11 days after owners shutter flagship Gu's Bistro
The much-anticipated Sichuan food stall Gu's Dumplings opened at Krog Street Market Tuesday. The stall's debut comes less than two weeks after the Gu's team decided to shutter its successful Buford Highway Sichuan restaurant Gu's Bistro and focus on the impending Krog Street launch.
Located across from the Spotted Trotter, the 600-square-foot-stall is an abbreviated, street-food-centric version of Gu's Bistro. The menu has around 20 items including both meat and non-meat options. Expect signature dishes such as Chengdu cold noodles, Kung Pao lotus root, and Zhong style dumplings. Owner Yvonne Gu Khan said in a release:

As the first authentic Szechuan restaurant to open in downtown Atlanta, we are thrilled to join this lively neighborhood and be a part of Krog Street Market ... Chef Gu and his team are looking forward to experimenting with new dishes while offering fresh and authentic Chinese cuisine to our loyal customers.
Gu's Dumplings is now open for lunch and dinner, however the stall's exact hours of operation are still up in the air. In the meantime, check the restaurant's Facebook page for updates and operating hours.
