Burger 21 announced its second Peach State location will open on Mon., July 27 in the Chastain Square Shopping Center (4279 Roswell Road, NE). The award-winning fast-casual chain is hosting a week-long fundraiser to support CURE Atlanta, donating 10 percent of the proceeds from the first week of business.

Melissa Davis, sommelier at Decatur hotspot Cakes and Ale, has left the building. Beverage director Jordan Smelt “is going to run the beverage program solo for the time being,” according to Cakes and Ale owner Billy Allin.

Land of a Thousand Hills, a coffee shop and bar, has replaced Café Nineteen at Atlantic Station (232 19th St., Suite 7100). According to UrbanDaddy, they’ll serve Rwandan coffee and there will be savory meat pies as well.

The Johnny Rockets at Underground Atlanta is closing Sun., July 26 after 20 years in operation because of a lack of business, the Atlanta Business Chronicle reports.

Cotton Calf Kitchen, a 120-seat white tablecloth classic American steakhouse featuring dry-aged steaks and classic cocktails, has announced its mid-August debut inside the historic Braselton Brothers Department Store building in downtown Braselton. According to the presser, “A popular Atlanta chef (to be formally announced prior to opening) has been lured to Northeast Georgia to oversee the kitchen and menu.”
