? Just having one wasn’t enough. Sometime next week, Highland Bakery, the popular chat and chew spot that already has a location in Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, will open a second outpost at Emory in the chemistry building, at 1515 Dickey Drive, according to What Now, Atlanta.

? Looks like another James Beard award-winning chef is coming to Atlanta. According to city records, New York-based Jonathan Waxman has applied for a restaurant license in Ponce City Market's Central Food Hall. Waxman is best known for appearing on Top Chef Masters and for being a pioneer of California cuisine, as well as for his hip rustic Italian restaurant, Barbuto, in New York City and his noteworthy Nashville restaurant, Adele’s, named after his late mother.

? East Atlanta Village is getting its own food hall. Atlanta Magazine reports that Quynh Trinh, the owner of local sandwich shop We Suki Suki, is taking over the former Urban Cannibals spot next door and teaming up with seven vendors to serve global eats like tamales, pasta, gluten-free cakes, and pho. Trinh, who goes by “Q,” calls the new project “We Suki Suki: A global grub collective” and expects to open either this Friday, Aug. 14, or Monday, Aug. 17.

? Paper Plane in Decatur has announced via Facebook that it will “stop all service at the end of August." But fear not, fans, Paper Plane’s owners are hinting that the space at 340 Church Street will become a new concept bar, possibly with a Hawaiian theme, slated to open in time for a preview at a big luau at neighboring Victory Sandwich Bar on Sept. 13.

? How about some burgers to go with those bogeys? Topgolf Midtown opens Friday, Aug. 14 on the Westside at 1600 Ellsworth Industrial Boulevard with three bars and a full-service restaurant. The enormous entertainment complex features a chef-driven menu with items from a made “from-scratch kitchen." The bars will offer cocktails like the Tipsy Palmer and the Melon Mulligan, and on weekends, there’s a Bloody Mary bar at brunch.

? National magazine Dwell included Decatur hotspot Kimball House on its list of 10 Best Designed Bars in America. Dwell notes, “Kimball House—designed by Square Feet Studio—recalls the luxurious hotel lounges of yesteryear, yet resists stuffiness thanks to a few personal touches.”

? On Friday, Aug. 28, a Williams-Sonoma Home Showroom and Design Center will open in Ponce City Market, the first of its kind in the South. What makes this iteration special is Williams-Sonoma’s cooking classes and tastings, to be conducted by its expert culinary staff. The Atlanta store will also feature a local Peach Artisan Market, special cooking demonstrations, and workshops.
