Omnivore - MARTA Army, We Love BuHi's Buford Highway 'bus crawl' is sold out — but more tickets will become available at 10 a.m.
It's like a bar crawl, but with food
Buford Highway lovers will be able to try all of their favorite cuisines in a more pedestrian and transit friendly way on late April 27 thanks to "39 Ride and Dine," a bus crawl collaboration between the MARTA Army and We Love BuHi.
Attendees will travel by bus to several restaurants along the international corridor and sample cuisine. They will also enjoy visits to City Farmers Market and Plaza Fiesta. The evening will end with a celebration at a Brookhaven lounge.
The goal for the event is to spark conversation about pedestrian safety, transit, and urbanism along Buford Highway. Representatives from MARTA and PEDS, an advocacy group dedicated to making metro Atlanta more accessible to people who wants to travel on foot, will also speak at stops on the MARTA crawl.
The fun kicks off at 6 p.m., with buses leaving from the Doraville MARTA station every 12 minutes to pick up ticketholders. The first wave of tickets sold out quickly after the event was announced. But another batch will be released today at 10 a.m. Tickets can be found here.
