Fig bruschetta and Caprese salad at Grant Central

I've already raved about the Caprese salad special running at Grant Central Pizza these days. It's made with tomatoes grown by owner Donnie Parmer and employs a decent mozzarella.

Now, he's also making this (iPhoned) bruschetta topped with figs and prosciutto, plus a bit of blue cheese. There's a heap of arugula too. The figs are from a neighbor's tree a few blocks from the restaurant.

The cost? Only $6 for each of these. You better call ahead, 404-523-8900, to make sure they are available before rushing to the restaurant.
