Welcome, one and all, to the first (and likely last) episode of America's new favorite rom-com, I Love Lumen! Sure, we’ve suspected all along that Dexter and Lumen would end up murder buddies in love, but did you guess that they’d make a non-stop comedy team? Dig those laugh lines: “Just a cat that hiccups and farts at the same time!” “Steal a tugboat!” “But how could they be onto us? We’ve been so careful!” And Dexter Nation LOLs.

Ridiculous though it may be, Lumexter’s cute-but-homicidal couple shtick is one of the more enjoyable aspects of a penultimate episode that continues this season’s unhappy habit of wheel-spinning, especially regarding Deb, who now seems to exist solely for the purposes of re-enacting scenes we’ve already been through and reviewing information we already understand.
