What’s going on this weekend? On Sat., June 3, there’s the annual free Summerfest, with performances by Israel Nash, the Unlikely Candidates and more on the official CL-sponsored stage. There’s also the annual Candler Park Music & Food Fest, with performances by the Motet, Lake Street Dive and more. (There’s also a Friday lineup featuring Matisyahu, Railroad Earth, and more.) Local band Blurry holds a release show for its new LP, Happy, and Art School Jocks celebrate the release of their much-hyped self-titled debut EP. Of even more interest is Jeffrey B?_tzer’s show honoring the music of David Lynch’s films, which we talked to him about in an exclusive Q&A. The rest of our picks are below.
