Bottoms’ campaign finances investigated
State’s ethics oversight arm probes ‘campaign staff’ payments

Stefan Ritter, head of the Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission, said Wednesday that Bottoms’ camp had logged multiple hefty payments to unspecified “campaign staff.” The total of those expenses, some of which were for more than $5,000, was upwards of $180,000.”
Bottoms chalked up the lack of detail on her campaign finance reports to bad bookkeeping, which she said would be amended soon.
