Read! 10/31/17: Andr̩ 3000 ready for nuclear winter if Trump-Kim beef goes south

Plus, a North Carolina native keeps one of his Oval Offices just outside Atlanta

Three floors underground: Andr̩ 3000 recently rapped with GQ about what life's been like since he and Big Boi shook the music scene with "Hey Ya." Spoiler alert: Among other things, he's been prepping for the doomsday that Presidents Donald Trump and Kim Jong-Un are taunting. "Andr̩e tells me that to survive a nuclear event, you have to be three stories underground, and you have to stay put for two weeks while the winds clear the toxic air," Will Welch reports.

The undertaker: Creative Loafing alum Gavin Godfrey, writing for our pals over at Atlanta Magazine, recently chronicled the life and times of "Atlanta's mortuary mogul" Willie Watkins, a man who's proud to have buried some of the city's biggest names, and who's hailed for "turning funerals into productions of pizzazz."

Wait, how many?: Jim Warlick owns five Oval Offices. He keeps one on the outskirts of Atlanta, and he recently lent it to an artist designing a book co-authored by part-time Trump impersonator Alec Baldwin. Keep an eye out for "You Can't Spell America Without Me: The Really Tremendous Inside Story of My Fantastic First Year as President Donald J. Trump" in bookstores.

Cool it with the parking lots!: Darin Givens, urbanist with ThreadATL, discusses how a Vine City Chick-fil-a-to-be epitomizes the perceived need for more parking lots in Atlanta. "About 25 to 33 percent of the land is restaurant," he writes, "and it's oriented toward parked cars, rather than the street." He says that land, and other properties like it, could be so much more.
