Rostam

Rostam Batmanglij, better known as Rostam, has produced and performed on various projects by the likes of Vampire Weekend, Hamilton Leithauser, Frank Ocean, and Haim. Now, as a songwriter, he’s performing a run of North American solo dates, supporting his album, Half-Light.

The 15-song LP features baroque-pop instrumentation, shimmering vocals, and Rostam’s signature eccentric production. Tracks like “Thatch Snow” and “Gwan” quietly highlight the live strings that define Rostam’s exceptional live performances, in contrast to the frantic percussion of “Don’t Let It Get to You” and “Never Going to Catch Me.” Half-Light sustains the familiar sounds of Rostam’s contributions to other artists’ works while warmly introducing him as a solo artist.

SOLD OUT. 8 p.m. Mon., Jan. 29. With Joy Again. The Earl, 488 Flat Shoals Ave. S.E. 404- 522-3950. www.badearl.com.
