Delta Air Lines is introducing facial recognition technology to Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport, in partnership with the Transportation Security Administration and a travel tech company called Pangiam. Starting in November, members of Delta SkyMiles and TSA PreCheck can merely look at a camera to present their digital identification without even showing a passport or boarding pass. The program is designed for frequent flyers already in the system who want to avoid long lines and serves as a marketing tool to attract new members. forbes.com
