NEWS BRIEF: Autism center for children and adolescents opens in Decatur
ABA therapy available in Decatur
A new center specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis therapy (ABA) for children and adolescents diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder has just opened in Decatur at 2711 Irvin Way. The location features therapy rooms and an adaptive living space that teaches independent self-help skills such as doing laundry and buying groceries. Kadiant, the company that runs it, has locations in Sandy Springs, Duluth, Johns Creek, and Marietta. “Kadiant’s centers provide engaging, fun, and therapeutic environments for learning and developing skills through evidence-based services,” a press release stated. ABA therapy is usually covered by insurance, and Kadiant is in-network with most providers and Georgia Medicaid plans. “This center is a prime location near Emory Hospital with access to public transportation right outside our doors. We have a plethora of resources for our clients and the community,” said Clinical Director Alexis Curcio. kadiant.com
