NEWS BRIEF: Local luminaries pitch in for Big Brothers Big Sisters mentorship
Auction aid on the block
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta is holding its second annual Iconic Mentor Auction from now until the end of January. The auction features local CEOs, entrepreneurs, business and civic leaders, authors, athletes, influencers and executives participating in a fundraising effort for the agency’s one-on-one mentoring programs. Successful bidders get to have a conversation via video call with the “icon” on whom they placed a bid. They include Grammy winner Anthony Hamilton, JetBlue founder Davis Neeleman, Cox Enterprises Co-President Jill Campbell, Paul Brown, CEO of Inspire Brands, and Sam Nunn, the former U.S. senator. A press release said the program “works with volunteers, parents, and families to help create relationships that defend, inspire and empower the potential that lives within every kid.” bbbsatl.org/ima
