BY PROCLAMATION OF THE MAYOR: Friday, Feb. 25, was declared "Reformation IPA Day" by the Mayor of Woodstock. "From this day forward, the last Friday of February shall hereby be known as Reformation IPA Day in the city of Woodstock, celebrating the spirit of a beer made by and for our community." The brew is an unfiltered American IPA (6.5%) that will be available year-round. We'll drink to that!

Reformation Brewery in the Canton/Woodstock/Smyrna area is replacing their year-round IPA Nolan the Wanderer with a new brew, Reformation IPA ,which features Talus, Citra, and Mosaic hops with notes of grapefruit and pineapple. Wild Heaven Gardens in the West End has a new food menu that is INCREDIBLE. Delicious hummus as well as several new sandwiches (the Smoked Brisket was my fave). Kettlerock Brewing in Peachtree Corners just released Snow Flurries, a new Belgian Winter White. It features coriander, grains of paradise, and notes of winter fruits with lemon, orange, and plum. Check out our Kettlerock Brewing podcast!

EAV’s Hippin Hops Brewery has opened a second location in East Lake at 2380 Hosea Williams Dr next to Perc Coffee. This location will focus mainly on sours and will also distill their own liquor and serve grilled food options. Believe it or not, they already have a third location on the way in Stone Mountain later this spring!

Help the Westside’s Second Self Beer Co celebrate their seventh anniversary through Saturday, Feb. 26. This past Tuesday saw the release of their new Totally TWObular Beermosa style IPA brewed with peaches and made in collaboration with Bottleshare. Georgia Beer Day


The Atlanta Beer Bus second annual Georgia Beer Day event on Saturday, March 5, will feature a visit to six different Westside breweries (Second Self Beer Co, Atlanta Brewing, Steady Hand Beer Co, Fire Maker Brewing, Round Trip Brewing, and Monday Night Brewing) for $50. Ticket includes bus transportation, $4 pours at each location, and the limited edition Georgia Beer Day pint glass. It’s a safe way to celebrate Georgia Beer Day!

From the Earth Brewing in Roswell also celebrates Georgia Beer Day March 5 with special Georgia Beer Day glasses and live music with the Banana Spliffs starting at 5 p.m.

If you’re in Norcross, join Cultivation Brewery, also celebrating Georgia Beer Day Saturday, March 5, from noon-10 p.m. for the requisite glass and all kinds of food pop ups to celebrate!

Hang out at Blackbird Farms Brewery in Lilburn Thursday, March 17, from 4-11 p.m. to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with live music and Irish beers.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, March 19, when the Suwanee American Craft Beer Fest returns to Town Center Park to reclaim its title as the biggest St. Patrick’s Day weekend party in Gwinnett!. Join Good Word Brewing in Duluth for their second annual Little Beer celebration in the Duluth Town Green Saturday, Apr. 9, from noon-5 p.m. They’ll be hosting over 60 breweries from around the country who will each bring one pale lager and one beer with a 5.5% ABV or lower.
