Music, comedy and ‘community-building’ to be featured

Mary J. Blige has announced an inaugural event in Atlanta for Mother’s Day weekend dedicated to women. The Strength Of A Woman Festival and Summit, curated by and for women, will be devoted to music, comedy, and “community building” starting on May 6 at three venues — The Tabernacle, State Farm Arena and Buckhead Theatre. The lineup includes Chaka Khan, Ella Mai, XSCAPE, City Girls, Baby Tate, Sevyn Streeter, Rubi Rose, Kierra Sheard, Le’Andria Johnson and Omeretta The Great, in addition to Blige.
