“Tenant’s Bill of Rights” could be A win for renters

The rights of local tenants could be strengthened if legislation proposed by the Atlanta City Council gets approval. The “Tenant’s Bill of Rights” would help limit the number of renters forced into homelessness.

“It’s long overdue, now that the entire nation is facing a housing crisis,” council member and co-sponsor Byron Amos told CBS-46. “We have a population in the city of Atlanta that used to be called renters that no longer have a place to rent — we need to address that before it becomes an epidemic.” Renters account for 56 percent of the city’s residents. cbs46.com
