NEWS BRIEF: Collie Greenwood named sole finalist for MARTA GM role
Interim GM ‘best person to lead’

The interim general manager of MARTA has been chosen as the sole finalist for the permanent position. Collie Greenwood, who took over the reigns after the suicide of Jeffrey Parker in January, is a former bus driver who was chief service officer with the Toronto Transit Commission before joining MARTA in 2019.
In a statement, Board Chair Rita Scott lauded Greenwood’s performance thus far and said “his steady, skilled leadership this year has further demonstrated that he is the best person to lead us as we navigate a post-pandemic world and embark on an historic enhancement and expansion program.” Details: reporternewspapers.net
