A recent move from Vancouver Island to New Orleans brings vivaciousness to Americana singer/songwriter Bella White’s new album, A Sign in the Weather. Her third, it is released next month. Early singles find the folksinger influenced by her new surroundings. The songs are fuller and more soulful, pushing her sweet, often quivering voice into fresh territory, still touching on her more delicate acoustic roots but moving further away from the bluegrass informing her first recordings.
