Eric Mack & Claire Kinzler
Whitespace Gallery
The work of multi-media artist Eric Mack uses acrylic and spray paint on paper to create abstract pieces that could have come from the pen of an architect. Conversely, the accomplished horticulturist often incorporates elements of nature in his compositions. Mack was commissioned by the City of Atlanta to paint a mural on South Broad Street; he also designed the cover for ‘Colored,’ an album released in 2019 by EDM artist Afriqua. ‘Living Archive,’ the debut exhibition at Whitespace by Claire Kinzler, also employs natural materials - minerals, plant matter and soil - across sculpture, installation and works on paper. The SCAD grad worked for a time at the High Museum and completed an artist residency in Barcelona. — Kevin C. Madigan
