The African Diaspora Art Museum of Atlanta presents The African Game, a photography exhibition by Nigerian photographer and filmmaker Andrew Dosunmu.

Shot across Angola, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Guinea, Ghana, Nigeria, and Senegal, the exhibition explores football not through the athletes on the field, but through the people who gather around the game. By shifting attention from the action on the pitch to the communities that support it, Dosunmu presents football as a shared cultural language that connects people across nations, regions, and generations.

Combining portraiture with documentary photography, The African Game follows the rhythms of everyday life as football becomes a ritual, spectacle, and communal experience. The photographs reveal how the sport is woven into neighborhoods, identities, and social life throughout the continent.

With a cinematic sensibility informed by Dosunmu's work as a filmmaker, the exhibition presents contemporary Africa through images that emphasize joy, resilience, style, and human connection.
