This exhibition includes her earliest poems in her delicate penmanship, to poems composed on her beloved Videowriter word processor, to last works composed at writer’s workshops, dashed off in an email, or found in her many daybooks, often written in her distinctive lowercase style. Curated by Amy Hildreth Chen and Kevin Young. A companion exhibition, “She Sang So Sweet: Lucille Clifton’s Children’s Literature,†curated by Chen and featuring Clifton’s career as a children’s author, is on display as of mid-September in the Concourse Gallery at the Level 2 main entrance.
