Life has a tendency simultaneously so magical and so infuriating to drop life-altering opportunities with zero notice. For Andrea DeMarcus and Dave Kirslis of Cicada Rhythm, their chance meeting on a freight train platform was more of the former. Soon after the two started obsessively spinning dried Athens turf into twangy folk rock gold. Normaltown Records dropped their self-titled release late last month, showcasing the duo’s knack for harmonizing creatively and … uh, literally.
