The Homestead ATL is bringing one of the country’s pre-eminent mushroom growers and researchers to impart his knowledge in an intensive and informative mushroom master class. During this all-day workshop, Tradd Cotter — a microbiologist, professional mycologist, and organic gardener who has been growing and studying mushrooms for more than 22 years — will demonstrate the many ways in which fungi can improve our daily lives and environments. The workshop will cover cultivation, medicinal mushrooms role in enhancing health, and mycoremediation’s, aka mushrooms, ability to break down toxins in the environment.
