This weeklong affair includes a slew of educational workshops, a health and wellness fair, and loads of killer entertainment. Black Gay Pride Festival runs a month before the larger Atlanta Pride Festival, lassoing in such celebrations as Dapper: The Andro Fashion Show and Speakfire Erotic Poetry. Other programming includes a discussion about depictions of queer people in TV, film, and media; a women’s empowerment symposium; and a panel to learn more about HIV AIDS and how society treats those afflicted.
