The annual Southern Surf StompFest takes over Little Tree Art Studios in Avondale Estates for a full day of landlocked kerrrrrang and fun in the sun. Surf Stomps are a celebration of the music as much as they are all about the community that comes together for these family-friendly blowouts. This is big one: 10 bands grace the stage including performances by the Penetrators, Caroline & the Ramblers, and the Mystery Men?, all brought to a head when the totally insane dudes of Daikaiju close out the night. Beach gear is recommended but not essential. And don’t forget about the kick-off party at Trader Vic’s with Kinky Waikiki and the Dangling Tassels on Fri., Sept. 16.
