From the venue:
Richard Lloyd played an integral role in founding New York City’s pioneering avant-garde punk outfit Television. His guitar work throughout the group’s 1977 masterpiece, Marquee Moon, and the ’78’s Adventure laid the foundation for an elegant, albeit outsider spark in American punk to reach deeper into the creative recess of the mind. His style grew over the decades, through albums such as 1979’s Alchemy and 2007’s Radiant Monkey. These days Lloyd calls Chattanooga, Tennessee home. His latest album, Rosedale puts a gritty, phantasmagoric spin on raw production and no frills rock songs. On stage, he’s backed by guitarist Jason NeSmith (Casper & the Cookies, Pylon Reenactment Society), and Chattanooga locals Terry Clouse (bass), and Jeff Brakebill (drums).
