Friday April 17, 2015 08:00 PM EDT
Cost: $25

From the venue:

The third annual Connecting Communities Walk, benefitting The Global Village Project, a school for refugee girls, will be held once more. Participants walk the 4.5 miles from Clarkston, where most GVP students live and where many refugees are resettled when they first arrive in the United States, to Decatur, on the PATH Trail. Global Village Project is an accredited, tuition-free, nonprofit private middle school for refugee teenage girls. Many GVP students have had limited formal education before they arrive in the United States.
