Join the Carapace raconteurs and author Kate Sweeney for a party celebrating the launch of American Afterlife: Encounters in the Customs of Mourning (University of Georgia Press). It’s a night of storytelling, festive memorial art from the Atlanta community, and more. A Cappella Books will sell books, and Sweeney will be signing them. American Afterlife explores the experiences of individual Americans involved with death in a culture where even discussing such things is practically taboo.
