Last year Greg Gillis, aka Girl Talk, took a hiatus from a grueling tour run that spanned almost seven years since the release of Feed the Animals. In the meantime, the mash-up and sample-obsessed production wizard linked up with Philadelphia MC Freeway for the surprisingly cool Broken Ankles EP. This summer, Girl Talk gets back to his festival-hopping ways when he headlines Party in the Park on Sat., May 17, at Centennial Olympic park. If his performance during the first weekend of Coachella was any indication, a significant break from the stage didn’t take away from the Night Ripper’s penchant for creating epic live music experiences.
