The Basics of the YA Novel: we’ll discuss how to conceive, outline, and write a young adult novel. This is a craft-focused class. We’ll be talking about age “appropriateness”, voice, character/plot arcs, and where, exactly, the parents have always vanished to in teen books. This course is perfect for anyone interested in the YA genre, from true beginners to those with a few finished books under their belts! A one-hour session for both teen and adult writers. Registration required: Call 770-360-8820 or email karen.swenson at fultoncountyga.gov. Sponsored by The Friends of the NE/Spruill Oaks Library.
