For the Fri., April 11, installment of the Left Field Experiment, progressive beatmaker Deku (Brett Leggitt) celebrates releasing his latest EP, Escapism. It’s his “love letter to video games, literature, cinema, anime, nature, conversations, spirituality, and all the other planes we escape to.” For this show, Deku shares the stage with Wake (Adam Venable and Keith William) performing a dark and trippy instrumental hip-hop set. The evening will also be punctuated by a double producer/MC cypher pitting five producers (Illastrate, 10th Letter, JP Villa, Conspiracy, and DT) against an eclectic mix of five MCs passing the mic.
