Concluding the Atlanta Opera’s season, Rossini’s The Barber of Seville tells the comedic story of the barber Figaro, the beautiful Rosina, and the dashing Count Almaviva. Figaro and Almaviva devise a plan to woo Rosina through disguises and crazy antics. But there’s a catch, Dr. Bartolo is intent on marrying Rosina himself. Santa Barbara Opera Artistic Director José Maria Condemi directs while conductor Craig Kier makes his Atlanta Opera conducting debut.
