Exhibition by artist and Morehouse College Art Instructor Michael Roman will explore the life of title character Messiah Jones from ages 13 to 33. Via the visual juxtaposition of stylized contemporary black bodies in urban settings with historical religious iconography, this thought-provoking collection examines pervasive present-day racial constructs and complex ideologies on the divine nature of humanity.
