Atrox: Unsettle In

Wednesday October 29, 2014 08:00 PM EDT
Cost: Free,

From the venue:

In masked serial killer Lazer, filmmaker Matt Swinsky has created Atlanta’s answer to Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, and Jason Voorhees. On Thurs., Oct. 30, at ABV Gallery, and in celebration of his Frankenstein monster and #31DaysofHorror series on Vine, Swinsky will present the media exhibition Atrox: Unsettle In. As the name would imply, the show features “unsettling imagery” from artists such as Dr. Dax, Sam Parker, Marcy Starz, and ABV founder/owner Greg Mike. The mixed-media exhibition will include stacked televisions with visuals from Lazer’s killing spree in the past month (just in case you forgot what decapitation by baseball bat looked like). From 7-11 p.m., expect the squeamish, uncomfortable feeling you got after seeing Swinsky’s NSFW video treatment for the Black Lips’ single “Boys in the Wood.”
