Celebrate Georgia's geologic wonders and the release of Roadside Geology of Georgia, the first book on Georgia's geology written for a general audience by geologists. Co-authors Gore and Witherspoon will speak and sign copies of their book. Exhibits from the Atlanta Geological, Cobb County Gem and Mineral, and Georgia Mineral Societies. Meteorite, mineral, and fossil exhibits from FSC. Rock ID Clinic 4:30-5:30 p.m.: bring your mystery rock. Authors talk at 6:30, with signing after.
