This exhibit features Joe Louis, the first well-known African American boxer, using text and images to highlight his childhood, key fights, and Army years. The exhibit travels in the spring to Louis’ birthplace in Alabama, his hometown of Detroit, and the cities of his key bouts, Chicago and New York City, before returning to Emory.
