Mondays-Saturdays, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Continues through Feb. 16 2014
Cost: Free

From the venue:

Most are familiar with Theodor Seuss Geisel, aka Dr. Seuss, the author. Lesser known is Geisel’s work as a painter and prolific collector of hats. Geisel’s paintings and hat collection, previously hidden away in the Dr. Seuss Estate in California, are touring the country for the first time ever in the Hats Off to Dr. Seuss! exhibition. Timed with the 75th anniversary of Dr. Seuss’s second book, The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins, the exhibition will pause at Roswell’s Ann Jackson Gallery beginning Fri., Jan. 31, and will continue through Feb. 16. The opening event will take place on Sat., Feb. 1, 5-9 p.m., where renowned Dr. Seuss Collection Curator, Bill Dreyer, will deliver a talk on the art and life of Dr. Seuss.
