“The Other Side” depicts the beginning of the end for Allen who is newly engaged and ready to walk down the aisle. His troubles only increase tenfold when his fiancé’s bridesmaid comes to visit, and all hell breaks loose. Warren Pemberton, writer and director of the film challenges taboos that still remain prevalent in the black community. He pushes the envelope and challenges viewers to decide if love truly does come in all shapes and sizes.
The film showcases local talent like Brad James, best known for his role as Todd in the Tyler Perry sitcom “For Better or Worse” and Altovise Lawrence a new South African talent best known for winning the first season of BET Africa’s first ever original production, “Top Actor”. “I am thrilled the film will have its debut on STARZ and allow everyone’s hard work to be showcased. “saysWarren Pemberton, writer and director of the film.  He added, “When I wrote the first draft 15 years ago, I had no idea it would evolve into the film it became and I’m proud to be a part of this movement”.
