Join VisitBlackHistory.com and & GirlTrek Atlanta’s Brookhaven Seedplanters and Glenwood Gogetters on Saturday, November 2nd at the renowned South-View Cemetery in Atlanta for Onward: A Harriet Hike, a call-to-action from the African-American Nature & Parks Experience to organize women across the nation and encourage them to hit the trails in honor of Harriet Tubman.
South-View is noted as Georgia’s oldest African-American cemetery. Attendees will not only participate in the national call to action to celebrate the life of Harriet Tubman but will also walk away having learned the significance of Atlanta’s South-View Cemetery and the legacies of several icons who’ve been laid to rest there. This will be a day of fellowship to honor and be among our ancestors whose efforts and memories live on today.
