From the venue:
In May 1960, two legendary civil rights lawyers closed ranks to rescue a black NJ man sitting on Georgia’s death row for a crime he didn’t commit. Now, 60 years after Albany Atty. C.B. King and Atlanta Atty. Donald L. Hollowell did what many thought was impossible, the State of Georgia has reopened the case to find out who was really responsible for the child rape and murder that almost cost a man his life. This Black History Month, come celebrate these two lions of the law who gave their lives to protect the rights of black people in Georgia. Please attend a free screening of the documentary “Fair Game: Surviving A 1960 Ga Lynching” with documentary filmmaker Clennon L. King at the Peachtree Branch Library, 1315 Peachtree Street, NE, Atlanta, GA 30309.
