When you write a story, you’re usually choosing between first person (“I went to the store”) or third person (“He went to the store”). Meanwhile, first base is ninety feet away from home plate in the major leagues, which means you have to run one hundred and eighty feet to go from first base to third base.
What in the world does this “distance” have to do with writing a story? How can learning about distance help you with the point of view in your story?
Chris Negron, author of DAN UNMASKED, a middle grade story with lots of baseball in it and written in first person, will help you sort it all out in this fun workshop. Students will leave with the start of their very own story they can continue working on after the workshop is over.
This program takes place via FCPL’s GoToWebinar platform. Registration is required.
